About this design
Every seed and floret in these prints sits 137.5 degrees (the golden angle) from the one before it, exactly the rule that sunflowers, dandelions and alliums follow. Sunflower shows 987 seeds in a spiral head with seven of its 21 spiral arms picked out in ochre; Dandelion is a clock of 233 seeds with fine parachutes; Allium is a globe of 144 star-shaped florets. 987, 233 and 144 are all Fibonacci numbers. Clean ink lines and soft ochre, sage and rose on warm cream: botanical, but with a quiet science twist. A lovely gift for gardeners, teachers and maths or science lovers.
